NEW ORLEANS – From the book shop that helped introduce the world to Anne Rice, The Garden District Book Shop is thrilled to host the release of the latest installment in Larry Correia’s Monster Hunter International series, “Monster Hunter Bloodlines,” on Aug. 5 at The Rink (2727 Prytania St.) Got things that go bump in the night? Monster Hunter International bumps back–hard!
Correia is the creator of the Wall Street Journal and New York Times best-selling Monster Hunter International series as well as the urban fantasy novels in the “Grimnoir Chronicles.” Also included in his body of work is the highly acclaimed epic fantasy series “The Saga of the Forgotten Warrior.” “Monster Hunter International”, the first book in the series, also reached the Entertainment Weekly bestseller list.
His new release, “Monster Hunter Bloodlines,” is the first solo Monster Hunter International entry in four years. Throughout the series, Owen Pitt and Monster Hunter International, the premier monster eradication service, have faced unspeakable horrors from myth, legend, B-movies, and the pit of Hell. Vampires, werewolves, succubi, elder gods: none stand a chance against Monster Hunter International.
“We are so happy to welcome back Larry and his legion of Monster Hunters to The Garden District Book Shop,” shares Christopher Tidmore, co-owner of GDBS. “In 2017, fans came from far and wide to the Garden District to get a first glimpse of the previous chapter in this ongoing tale. Since Larry’s latest addition to the monster hunter-verse is his best yet, we cannot wait to put out the clarion call for new recruits to gather at the historic Rink to stop the undead minions from overrunning New Orleans.”
The book event and signing is open to the public and will be hosted on August 5 from 6:00-7:30 PM. Correia will walk guests through the world of Monster Hunter and share insights from the new installment. The discussion will be followed by an in-depth Q&A segment and there will be an opportunity for guests to have their books personalized by Correia himself. Those interested in registering to guarantee a seat can do so at Eventbrite.
