NEW ORLEANS – Crescent City Stage announced its cast and creative team for its second show of 2024, “A Doll’s House” by Henrik Ibsen in a new version by Amy Herzog. The production features members of Actors’ Equity Association, including Elizabeth Newcomer as Nora, David Lind as Torvald, Sue Jin Song as Kristine, along with Doug Spearman as Dr. Rank, Douglas Streater as Krogstad and Rachel Whitman Groves as Anne-Marie.
Directed by Crescent City Stage Co-Founder Jana Mestecky, the creative team is led by Riley Trahant (Actors’ Equity Association Production Stage Manager), Rina Christilles (Assistant Stage Manager), Michael A. Newcomer (Set Designer/Technical Director), Jahise LeBouef (Costume Designer), Zak Lanius (Lighting Designer), and Amara Skinner (Sound Designer).
In “A Doll’s House,” Nora, a seemingly perfect wife, harbors a secret that unravels her picture-perfect life. Facing hidden debts and societal constraints, she realizes she’s been trapped, yearning for freedom. This daring new version of Ibsen’s classic play puts love, marriage, and self-discovery on trial.
“A Doll’s House” opens Sept. 5 and will run through Sept. 22.
